Sambhavna - A Joyful Learning Program

Sambhavna: A Joyful Learning initiative is an effort to integrate experiential learning methods in the school curriculum by ToT model. This experiment began with the students of class 6th to 12th by engaging teachers. Social Science subject prescribed by NCERT lays the foundation of Indian history, constitution and social fabric. The aim of our intervention is to develop the importance of understanding social science at this stage and providing students the tool and Life skills to interpret these complex social phenomena, and to develop constitutional values by providing a safe space to develop their leadership capacities. This will not only make the learning process more powerful and joyful but also help students develop 21st century life skills like decision making, asking the right questions, interpret reality from different viewpoints, build inclusive perspective and become self aware. Currently, the designed curriculum of 60 hours is going to get implemented to develop Life Skills through Social Science subject students and social science teachers of government schools by trained facilitators.
