Adolescent Empowerment Program (SAVED)

1.SAVED, was an implementing partner of Adolescent Empowerment Program of UNICEF supported by Sivasagar district Administration. Under this program we had reached out 9000 adolescent boys and girls directly through structured sessions on child rights, health and nutrition, child marriage, causes of school dropouts, menstruation and hygiene causes of child labour and life skills etc. Also under this program we organised sessions for parents on parenting skills to reduce intergenerational gap. UNICEF sponsored this program from 2017 to 2020. SAVED has formed 350 numbers of adolescent groups during this period.

2.As a part of Assam collective we are continuing JAGRIK PROGRAM wit our adolescent group members. This program is very helpful to us to work with child rights. In our adolescent empowerment activities JAGRK program is playing an important role in enhancing the sense of social responsibility of the targeted adolescent.
