Adolescent Empowerment Program
The organization is working with Santhal and Pahariya Communities. We are supporting Adolescent Empowerment Program.
Under this program, we are facilitating remedial classes for girl child to prepare for classes 7 to class9. We have administered that most of the girls left their school when they are at class 8 or class 9. 150 girls are learning and enjoying the classes. We have formed 50 adolescent groups. These adolescents’ groups being nurtured to end child marriage. As the area is a human trafficking zone, we are consistently developing awareness among the communities about the consequences of human trafficking. 120 adolescent girls were rescued and settled. We have formed a football team of adolescent girls. The team members are spreading messages on social issues like end child marriage. Health and nutrition, child safeguard. The active peer girls have formed Street Play group. To address the gender issue in the community especially in the tribal community where girls are facing discrimination in the sector of education, health, sports and livelihood, the promotion of sports team for generating awareness compel families and community to think that girls can also do it.
