With the sudden outbreak of COVID on campus, a number of students needed immediate medical attention. Hardly any help could be found on short notice when Priyanka, one of our students, stepped up and took charge of coordinating with doctors, police and the media, in addition to taking care of ones in need and kept the campus running with support from peers. Thanks to such exceptional youth leaders and the trust from our communities and funders in our work even in the most unusual circumstances, we have been able to partner with 9 state governments and continue training with 8200+ young people even in the midst of the pandemic.With the sudden outbreak of COVID on campus, a number of students needed immediate medical attention. About Us:
NavGurukul offers low-cost residential spaces for students from diverse backgrounds to come and learn by doing, using a vernacular curriculum in a financially sustainable setup. Their focus area is to provide higher education linked strongly to the employability of the marginalized so that they can have access to aspirational jobs like Software Engineering, Analytics, etc. The aim is to take NavGurukul’s unique pedagogy of learning programming to the geographical vicinity of students, with a strong emphasis on Women, Focus on life outcomes instead of learning outcomes to ensure that there is a significant improvement in the lives of the students.
With a capacity of training 700+ students, Navgurukul provides all the facilities to students with zero cost which are also managed and self-governed and managed by the students.
