enCOMPASSion

About Us:

enCOMPASSion is a social organisation, committed to nurturing living bridges to cultivate compassion, resilience, and interdependence in a world where everybody matters. We focus on strengthening communities and individuals to build sustainable futures through collaborative processes, particularly Nonviolent Communication (NVC).enCOMPASSion was founded in November 2016 by Manasi Saxena (now CNVC Certified Trainer). We have offered training services focused on Nonviolent Communication and related modalities, offered to organisations, schools, and communities alive.

Since our inception, we have have worked with institutions like UNHCR, Katkatha, Manzil, Saajha, and Save The Children India, with Fr. Agnel School Greater Noida, and others.

In addition to this, we have offered workshops and training programmes across the country, in places as far flung as Guwahati and Udaipur, New Delhi and Bangalore. In 2020, as ground realities posited challenges around physical sustenance and safety, enCOMPASSion also offered emergency relief support for vulnerable communities.

We collaborated with the Deputy CM Office for Relief in Northeast Delhi, worked with GOONJ and Fidus Law Cahembers on the NOIDA COVID RELIEF 2020 Project, which brought Dry Ration Relief Kits to 27300+ individuals, and Travel Kits to over 3500+ migrant workers heading home.

In the winter of 2020-2021, we worked with GOONJ to bring blankets to the most economically vulnerable communities in Delhi/NCR, reaching 6300+ individuals.

Project Asha, launched in August 2020, is focused on Enhancing Resilience in Urban Communities with a vision of community-driven development and the use of Nonviolent Communication and related modalities, in practice, process, and consciousness, at the grassroots.

We have worked for the last 8 months with a single community to deepen connection, grow relationships, and nurture developmental goals as designed by the community.

We use NVC-based collaborative processes in our grassroots work. Our focus is on growing resilience through relationships and connection in the community,Parallel to the above, we offer Living Bridges — an enCOMPASSion project that envisions an active, thriving bridge between the processes and consciousness of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and Social Change.

Living Bridges offers three ways of engaging with NVC and Social Change. First, through weekly workshops and webinars to nurture a growing community of people who believe in a world where everybody’s needs matter, Second, through  deeper and longer duration training programmes from trainers across the world. And finally, through a nurturing a community of practitioners keen on living NVC on the ground.
