Manak Matiyani
Manak is a dedicated feminist queer activist and serves as the Executive Director of The YP Foundation (TYPF). His commitment lies in empowering young people to take on leadership roles in advocating for gender justice, sexuality rights, health equity, violence prevention, and inclusive education. With a background in Literature and Mass Communication, Manak has curated and led various training programs, social media campaigns, digital storytelling interventions, and leadership development initiatives.
In his role at TYPF, Manak spearheads strategy development, program design, partnership building, and resource mobilisation efforts across different programs. His multifaceted approach ensures the effective implementation of TYPF's vision and mission, addressing diverse issues affecting young people. Before joining TYPF, Manak collaborated with a wide range of civil society organisations, grassroots groups, educational institutions, volunteer collectives, and youth-led initiatives, fostering reflective and transformative engagement among young individuals for social change.
Through his extensive experience and expertise, Manak continues to advocate for the rights and well-being of young people, striving to create inclusive spaces where they can voice their concerns and contribute meaningfully to societal progress.
