Green Hub
In 2015 the Green Hub Project was started, in Northeast India in collaboration with North East Network. Green Hub is the first youth and community-based fellowship and digital archive for work related to wildlife, indigenous knowledge and biodiversity. The idea is to use the visual medium to empower and engage the youth of the region in conservation and social change. To look at an equitable and sustainable livelihood through protection of their natural resources and community well-being. Green Hub is embedded with the idea of each fellow being a change maker, leading from individual effort to collective action.
In 2017 Green Hub Project won the Manthan Award for leveraging the power of youth in environment, through the digital medium. I was awarded the National Geographic - CMS Prithvi Ratna award in 2017 and The RBS Earth Hero award in 2018 for contribution to environment conservation through films.
Issues:- empower youth in conservation education, action, climate sustainability and social change through the visual medium; and create a digital resource bank for wildlife, environment and indigenous knowledge.
