Bappaditya Mukherjee
Bappaditya Mukherjee serves as the Founding Secretary of Prantakatha, an esteemed organisation dedicated to fostering deep self-awareness for social transformation among youth. With a rich history spanning 18 years, Prantakatha operates as an intersectional youth space in Kolkata, West Bengal, impacting over 5000 youth from diverse backgrounds, with a focus on marginalised communities. In addition to his role at Prantakatha, Bappaditya leads the Kutchina Foundation, a pan-India Corporate Social Responsibility Foundation, where he designs programs aimed at empowering women through entrepreneurship development. Beyond his organisational commitments, Bappaditya is a prolific writer, having authored books and published papers in esteemed national and international journals. His scholarly contributions focus on youth development and the rights of sexual and gender minorities, reflecting his deep commitment to social justice and equality. Moreover, Bappaditya's impact extends beyond national borders as he co-founded SAYAN (South Asian Young and Queer Activists Network), a pan-South Asia platform uniting youth and queer activists in advocacy and solidarity efforts.
