Arty is a Post Graduate in Economics from Patna University. She has over 12 years of experience in various organizations. She has worked at the grass roots with PRADAN with tribal women from Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh on various themes such as, livelihood, health, gender issues. Arty has worked as the Program Manager for Landesa inBihar where she worked for ensuring land rights of land less families. She was engaged with NITI Aayog for the policies on tenancy in the state so that women share croppers can be benefitted. She lead the establishment of Women Support Centers at the Districts of Vaishali and West Champaran in Bihar which aimed to provide an interface between the single women and women headed households and the Government line department for land rights and other social security schemes. She has also worked with Oxfam India as Project Officer – Social Inclusion, based at Patnawhereshe lead the European Union supported project on mainstreaming of socially excluded communities especially, Minorities, Tribals and Dalit (Maha Dalits in Bihar) and generating livelihood opportunities, Forest Right Act, Right to Food, Right to education and Health issues in Bihar and Jharkhand. She has regularly featured on Doordarshan Bihar TV channel as the land rights expert and women empowerment on the talk show EkMutthiDhoop and FursatGharand KhulaAasmanwhich are dedicated for women empowerment. She is the member of many national and international networks which aims development and advocacy.
