"I am a Development Professional having 15 years of experience. Gender Equality is my area of expertise. I'm also the Founder and Secretary of a Kolkata based organization 'Madhabilata The Fight for Her Justice'. I have a Masters in Social Work from IGNOU and pursuing another Master Degree in Psychology from IGNOU. Although most of our work has been around the issue of Child Marriages, I/we have also worked on various issues like acid attack on women, menstrual hygiene, domestic violence, pre and post natal care, career counselling and LGBTQIA+ etc. We were one of the first organizations in West Bengal who started working against Cyber crime on women. For that we received recognition from National Foundation for India, Delhi. Due to my work on Child Marriage and Gender through the years, I was selected as one of the top 25 Social Workers in 2022 by Girls Not Bride worldwide campaign to end child marriages. I also received Gender Transformative Approaches training organized jointly by Girls Not Bride and OXFAM in Goa and Nepal in 2022 and 2023. I Mentor two Kolkata based organizations."
