This manual is primarily designed to aid the facilitators engaging with the young ‘Change Makers’ on understanding the basic concepts of gender and take them through a reflective journey rooted in their experiences and reality. The challenge on developing such a manual is always to maintain a balance between being prescriptive and leaving the scope open for the individual creativity and contextualisation to be used for making the sessions and interactions more effective and meaningful. The manual visualises the sessions to spread over three complete days and therefore follows a sequence where the basic concepts around gender, diversity and power and dealt first. It is recommended that the first day of facilitation is carried out as proposed and the flexibility for covering the topics for the next two days depend upon the individual facilitators. If the three days of facilitation aided with this manual leaves critical questions and reflections around the five behaviour types, that the ‘It’s Possible’ Campaign wants to achieve, it would have served its purpose.
