there was so much death around that the fear of death left us. We just wanted to act!!
When the world was locked inside, undergoing the threat of infection, Inamul decided to step out and help. He started at home, convincing his brother to volunteer along. Soon, two multiplied to four, eight, sixteen and in a few months they were 350 volunteers strong in Chennai.
Their work had no boundaries. They acted as family for unidentified deadbodies; respectfully cremating them. They supplied oxygen, medicines, relief, welfare, legal support and more based on need at hospitals, relief centres etc throughout the pandemic
About Us:
Khudai Khidmatgar was started by frontier Gandhi during the independence struggle. It was revived in India 15 years
ago. Inamul provides youth leadership in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. He created a volunteer cadre in south India and
has a mass youth following. He is a research student at Jamia at the moment.
He also launched NASHAMUKTI campaign in Tamil Nadu and Sabka ghar concept in Kanyakumari which is open for all youth,
promoting social harmony. He is also currently working with the present state government on social equity issues.
