About Harsh

Harsh has been a fellow with Pravah and has shown exemplary leadership and ownership towards his community throughout and especially during COVID times. He was extremely active in only supporting relief work but also organising and bringing many more young people together from different organisation, colleges, communities, etc. He is from Bhopal and is doing his MA in social work. He has been an NSS Volunteer, & during COVID along with a team of volunteers, supported his community with things like distributing free food to Covid patients and their families and talking to the hospital at the local level and finding out what is needed and how needs can be met like oxygen, medicines, locating ambulance, how many beds are there in the hospital. This information was shared in their groups and then volunteers worked to arrange the same in different ways.
In addition to the above mentioned support, once the situation became a little normal, he was also involved in an awareness campaign which was started by the NSS volunteers, district administration and Awaaz Sanstha in 85 wards of Bhopal. He played a special role in this program, through his puppet, that wears a mask and gives a message to everyone that wearing a mask, follow social distance and avoid crowds.
