Vijay Bharatiya
In 1985, Vijay initiated the Young Experimenters Group (YEG) in Ahmedabad, marking the beginning of his journey in youth empowerment. With a career spanning over three decades, he currently serves as the Director of the South Asia Peace Alliance (SAPA) since 2008 and has played a pivotal role in promoting initiatives like the Navyug Youth Centre and serving as a member of Jai Jagat International. In 2021, he co-founded We The Yuva, further extending his commitment to empowering young people and fostering positive change in society.
Vijay's approach to youth empowerment revolves around being a facilitator or Sahayogi, nurturing meaningful dialogue within communities and empowering youth to identify and address challenges on their own terms. He is deeply passionate about nurturing new leadership and igniting a sense of belief and agency in young individuals, encouraging grassroots action and mainstreaming issues that impact society. With extensive involvement in various networks, foundations, and movements, Vijay dedicates considerable time to innovating and contributing to shared goals, driving collective efforts towards positive social transformation.
