Shailendra Sharma

Shailendra Sharma is Principal Advisor (Hon) to the Director Education, Govt. of Delhi. An alumnus of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, Shailendra started his career with Pratham in 2002 and has been a part of its Senior Leadership Team. He has worked in the area of community based early childhood education and school based learning enhancement program for children. In his current role as Principal Advisor, he works with the Education Minister and Directorate of Education of Delhi Government in shaping the education reforms of the Government. These reforms are majorly in the area of children’s learning, teachers training, parental engagement and school infrastructure improvement.

Shailendra is also a member of advisory groups and committees of the government to recommend measures to improve learning enhance access and reform in governance.
