Rameez Alam
Rameez is a firm believer in unravelling the mysteries of human nature through the lenses of history and philosophy. Engaging with works such as Berger’s “Hold Everything Dear,” Steinbeck’s “Of Mice and Men,” and Harari’s “Sapiens” has provided him with profound insights into these mysteries. His passion for fostering a sense of responsibility among individuals and understanding the significant impact of youth on society led him to collaborate with Ashoka Fellow and Pravah from 2008 to July 2017, where he dedicated himself to crafting transformative journeys for young people to discover their purpose.
Following a month-long motorcycle expedition through the Himalayas, Rameez has embarked on a new endeavour, joining the team to curate journeys for Ashoka Fellows. Known for his attentive listening and keen observation skills akin to a fly on the wall, Rameez is discerning in his insights and perspectives. While he absorbs everything around him, he remains reserved in sharing his thoughts unless prompted.
Rameez's rich experience and profound understanding of human behaviour and societal dynamics make him a valuable asset in shaping meaningful experiences for individuals and communities. His ability to blend intellectual curiosity with practical wisdom contributes to his effectiveness in guiding others towards personal and societal transformation.
