Prasanna Kapoor
Living up to her name, Prasanna has sought joy in the field of arts and performing. She is a multifaceted artist who has a keen interest in theatre and Kathak. She has pursued her Madhyama Purna in Kathak from Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya
To promote arts and culture, especially among children and young people, she leads many ventures through "Bewajah" in Lucknow and "Himalaya Study Centre & Retreat" in Kausani, Uttarakhand. These are platforms for creative expression, learning and collaboration.
She conducts workshops, camps and residencies on theatre, dance, music, photography, storytelling and more. She was a part of the Singapore Arts for Good Fellowship 2023. She is a skillful moderator having interviewed Padma Shri awardee Anup Shah for Doordarshan and Imtiaz Ali & Piyush Mishra on the craft of theatre. She organizes The Buransh Mahotsav in the mountains and talks about arts, culture, entrepreneurship and social development on AIR Akashvani Almora.
She is also a specialised project/program management professional for non-profits. Her systemic lens and grassroots experience enables her to work across social development domains efficiently. She earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Law(B.B.A LL.B) as well as a certificate of proficiency in sustainable development studies from leading institutions in the field.
In her career, she has been fortunate enough to experience multiple things like managing government engagement, partnerships, training of trainers, content/curriculum creation, driving from ideation to monitoring pilot projects & programs for leading social impact organisations in the space.
