Piyali Sarkar Debnath has an M. Phil from Jawaharlal Nehru University with specialization in gender and political economy. She has worked as a development professional on diverse issues like human rights, education, inclusion, migration and gender. She used to work as a National Project Officer for the youth team at UNESCO MGIEP. Currently she is working with UN Women
