Nidhika Chouhan

A bachelor’s in science graduate from Swami Vivekanand College, Ujjain, Nidhika currently works at Mera Gaon, Meri Duniya as a Sparsh Leader and is extremely enthusiastic about contributing to the fifth space. As a part of her project, she has collaborated with two colleges—ITI in Mahdipur and Sheshshayee college in Nagda—and worked with 60 plus students. Implemented in the local community, her project involves building an understanding of climate change within the community, and she does so with the help of her cohorts of college-going students. This was carried out through weekly sessions where the participants took up social action taks, which led to a more hands-on learning experience. In addition, she trained them in systems thinking, the challenges that lay ahead in the climate action journey and how to apply these learning to daily life. She is working closely with her mentor to come up with more ways in which she can contribute to the climate action movement.
