Manisha Gupta
Manisha began her career as a journalist before transitioning into the social entrepreneurship sector, where she has made significant contributions over the past 24 years. Notably, she served with Ashoka: Innovators for the Public for a decade, holding positions as the India Country Representative and International Director for Ashoka’s youth programs. During her tenure, Manisha played a pivotal role in fostering a collaborative community of social entrepreneurs nationwide and spearheaded the launch of media and communication campaigns to promote social entrepreneurship in India.
In addition to her impactful work with Ashoka, Manisha has co-authored two books, ""1098- Childline Calling"" and ""Opening Doors – Ten Years of Ford Foundation’s shanInternational Fellowships in India."" She is known for her fervent belief in creating profound impact through lean teams, emphasising efficiency and effectiveness in driving social change.
In 2009, Manisha formalised her vision by launching Start Up!, initially conceived as an idea in 2007. This social venture reflects her dedication to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship for social good, embodying her commitment to driving positive change and empowering communities.
