Ishani Sen
With over 25 years of experience in mentoring teachers, youth leaders, and adolescents, Shani Sen has been an integral part of Pravah for the past 16 years. Her extensive expertise includes curriculum designing and facilitating mindset change learning programs for educators and young individuals across various states in India. Ishani has played a pivotal role in implementing conflict-positive curriculum and mentoring teachers to navigate their personal and professional roles, contributing to whole-school transformations for leadership development and inclusivity.
Before her tenure at Pravah, Ishani served as an Education Coordinator with Butterflies - Program of the Street and Working Children, and as a Group Coordinator at Miranbika - a progressive school in Delhi. Additionally, she has worked in rural West Bengal, focusing on preventing violence against children and establishing support groups to combat trafficking and child labour. Holding a Postgraduate degree in Sociology from Kalyani University, West Bengal, and a Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed) from Pondicherry University, Ishani brings a wealth of academic knowledge and practical experience to her endeavours.
