Dipantri Sardar

My SaathNirbhar Story:
The biggest blessing is to be safe during the times when death was the headline in every newspaper, and blessed are those who find someone going one step extra to ensure safety. Dipantri Sardar is a loved-by-all Sarpanch of Tentla Panchayat, Tudi Village in Jharkhand who has always been passionate to uplift the villagers, especially women. She won the 2015 elections after losing in 2010. During COVID-19, Dipantri Sardar developed a communication channel so the villagers can seek help easily and quickly. Dipantri with the help of government officials, NGOs, and active villagers, implemented covid protocols, ensured social distancing, and distributed food and medicines.  Instilling hope when hopelessness was tightening its grip was her biggest achievement  Dipantri curbed spreading fear by undertaking constant relief work. She compiled a list of migrant workers from her village, contacted them, and arranged for their return. A quarantine center was developed with food and medicines. She also arranged for educational classes for children to bridge the gap. She admitted Covid orphaned children to orphanages and looked after their needs. On getting fever post-vaccination, villagers blamed Dipantri for their bad health and asked if she would take responsibility if they die. After various futile rounds of vaccination awareness, she could finally convince people to get vaccinated. During the testing times, Dipantri kept choosing villagers and plans to start an NGO to generate livelihood for the youth. Dipantri's vision holds light and her heart, incredible compassion.
