About Adinath Janardan Pratap
A software engineer in the making, Adinath has been associated with Magic Bus India Foundation from an early stage of his life as a Community Youth Leader and has been passionate about social work since a very young age. In recent years, he has found his interest lean towards climate action and knew he needed to actively contribute to the cause. Having been an active member of his community, he wanted to leverage the goodwill he has garnered to create awareness on the issues plaguing the environment. As a GreEntrepreneur, his project created the farmpreneur model in order to educate school students in his cohort on the benefits of nutrition gardening and introduce organic farming practices to the farming community. 80 students from two schools eac have set up kitchen gardens at home, in the process understanding the climate crisis and its effects on our daily lives. He also held discussions with farmers about the ill-effects of chemical farming and made them aware of organic farming practices and how it can benefit the environment and them. Beds for vermicomposting were provided by the Gram Panchayat and fertilizer production was encouraged, with many farmers now adopting these practices at home too. Adinath is determined to reduce his own carbon footprint on a daily basis and come up with innovative solutions and technologies to mitigate the effects of climate change.
