A 'Jagrik' is an active awakened and aware citizen in hindi. Be A Jagrik is an initiative that engages young people between the ages of 14 to 30 years, across India through an board game and experiential journey. Through this game played in pairs, young people (Jagriks) participate in many real tasks combining the SDGs and the constitution over a period of 4 weeks. After engaging in these self and social action tasks, Jagriks come together every week to reflect on their learning through group meetings called Jagrik Jamghats. The journey this year (2018) was begun across 32 partners on the 2nd October – International Day of Non-Violence. Watch the video below to know more about the initiative.
