Jagrik story-3(from GBSS's first Cohort Sapno Ki Udan(Jamghat-2.Date-5/01/2020)) Organisation-Prantakatha. Jagrik names-Mandira Mahato and Puja Poddar(Pair-4) Task-Fundamental Duty(Community task Gold or.Card-4) They were asked to organise an exposure trip for 10 students to visit local water body to assess the source of water pollution and to prepare a report on the same.They were also asked to present the report to 30 adolescent and their parents and to write to the NGT/concerned duty bearer. Experience-Mandira and Puja along with 8 other friends from their neighbourhood went on a exposure trip to visit river Mahananda to assess the source of river pollution. After witnessing the sources responsible for the pollution they arranged for a discussion cum awareness session with 30 adolescent children and vocally awarded them.Also they asked those children to share the same with their parents . Challenge-In this task the Jagrik duo faced great challenge when people refused to listen to them regarding water contamination that happens due to river dumping. Also they couldn't really prepare a report on it and present it to NGT but they vocally awared 30 adolescent children. Learning-At then end of the task Puja and Mandira learnt that river dumping is one of the main reason behind water pollution in their area.Also they realized that this widespread problem of water pollution is jeopardizing their health.They also took a vow not to contribute to the factors that causes water pollution.
