Our organization formed in 5sept 2011 in Bhabua Kaimur Bihar. It is registered on date 1-6-2012 by Bihar government 1860 act rule 21. It is community-based organization. We are Infosem network member.Our all member Kothi transgender Hijra. Our organization president is hijra nayak in Kaimur District Chanchal hijra. Our secretary is Reshma Prasad  is qualified transgender in Bihar prospective of community right work very active person in Bihar.

Following the demand from our institution, the National Institute of social defense, along with 22 transgender peers, trained the transgender community for drug abuse programs, for the first time, by the Government of India.

We, along with the transgender community, conducted awareness programs for de-addiction in ten districts in nine states of India. Government of India, department of Social Justice and Empowerment, National Institute of Social Defense organized this program for the first time for the transgender community in collaboration with DOSTANASAFAR.

Dostanasafar is writing more milestones in the works of community development. We are likely to see an action of transgender identity cards in Patna district and all Bihar after the Kothi transgender and hijra community found the support of the Supreme Court's decision. The district level authority constituted a screening committee for transgender Kothi hijra in Patna. The screening committee works for the identification card and community survey of transgender. Our organization is a very active organization for LGBT people in all Bihar. After registration, our organization organized the first gay pride parade of Bihar state on 1st June 2012.We are doing many capacity building programs for the Kothi transgender and hijra community. We have organized a capacity development program for transgender community and rights based approach in health, social welfare, cultural welfare in collaboration with VHS Chennai and UNDP supported program.Our organization helped the Bihar government to formation of a transgender and hijra welfare board in the state of Bihar. We are also trying to form a cooperative society for transgender and hijra people.Our organization is associated with the Department of Labor for the skill development of the transgender community.We have done capacity-building project with pehchan project by the financial and technical help with help of India HIV AIDS Alliance New Delhi & global fund for aids tuberculosis & malaria GFATM for five years.In the pehchan project, we also reached in after five years approx 1500 community in district of Bhabua (kaimur). We also try to good reaching systems to use by our local aspect. We are trying very best to for our community we are very active we are in social networking platform in facebook see our all activities for HIV AIDS and community connected works.We are making on advocacy level good thing in all Bihar. We are changing the thinking of society about our community. We have found a chance by the state government of education department. In the Bihar Diwas Fair, we found a stall for gender diversity. Our organization passed as gender educator organization. An Approx25000 person was come on our stall. We were also to do a musical drama in A big platform of Bihar Diwas 10000 people was seen our programme. Our concept base was on gender & sexual identity with education.Our organization has done the gender diversity sensitization programme with Patna women’s college Patna.After our organization initiative more institution are doing the work on transgender specific rights. Patna women’s college & Magadh Mahila College organize a guest lecture on gender sensitization with our organization help. Our organization secretary & one community person was give the lectures on gender diversity on third genders.After the Supreme Court judgment our organization done the advocacy with women development cooperation, then after WDC has done a state level programme on KINNARO KA SAMEKIT VIKASH. Women development cooperation gives the report for action in social welfare department on Third gender.After Our organization advocacy, Patna women’s college has done a research project on third gender people’s socio economic strata in Bihar.Our organization media advocacy Doordarshan Kendra Patna did a live programme with transgender on her life style & identity.Our organization prepared a documentary on Gender knowledge in general population with third gender people.Our organization done the advocacy with Bihar government then after our community found reservation in all over India’s first state where as a reservation gives in all categories like in SC, ST, and OBC.Our organizations first step was for identity of community after our advocacy & sensitization meeting. In the all Bihar General population & all community people aware about our community work.Our organization wants to connect the established professional traditional identity of gender identity of transgender persons to the mainstream.We want gender identity will gender identity & professional identity will connect by our name not even call by our gender identity.Our organization advocated more with stakeholders and the community. After advocacy, our organization gained a greater recognition from our actions to the transgender community in Bihar.Our organization formed the 13 self-help group of transgender. At present, we are making producers group of transgender.Our organization wrote a letter to all ministers for transgender right given by Supreme Court of India.Our organization has done the advocacy to stop the crime for problem of gay & transgender people about robbing & snatching of expensive thing like mobiles & purses with SSP of Patna district.Our organization & community people met with the DGP of Bihar for the IPC Act problem on transgender and gay community. In addition, police catch the transgender & send in men’s cell. It is very bad. After jailed they found more discrimination in jails like sexual exploitation.Our organization & community people has been done the meeting with chief minister & raise the voice against very slow processing to implement the Supreme Court judgment order & recommendation implementation by the social welfare department.Our organization is taking all initiative for community Rights & development. The results are coming on community Rights about Transgender Hijra & sexual minorities.

                      Our organization has been done the KINNAR MAHOSTSAV -2016, 2017, 2018, 2019. It programme was state level transgender cultural performing art based programme. It programme was sponsored by art, culture & youth department of Bihar government .we are also doing state level advocacy programme for transgender & sexual minorities.
