Task – (FD1CG1) – Co-write a mini Constitution of your school, club or group with 5 other friends, using the same heading as in the Constitution of India – preamble, fundamental duties, and fundamental rights. Share the same with your school principal, School Management Committee and Bal Panchayat/Sansad/Sabha and ask them for their comments on how they can adopt it.

Experience-

The peer pair had co-written a mini Constitution of their class with 5 other friends. They took the reference of their Civics book and prepared the mini Constitution. They used the same heading as in the Constitution of India – preamble, fundamental rights and fundamental duties. After writing the mini Constitution they show it to the Headmaster of the School and asked for his permission to display it on their notice board. After getting the permission, they displayed it and informed every students of their class to have a look and give them a feedback.

They also discussed on how they can adopt it adopt it and later every students agreed to abide by the mini Constitution made by them.

Learning-

This task helped them to know about the Constitution more and writing it in their own language also helped them to memorize the preamble, fundamental rights and fundamental duties. It also helped them to build their self confidence and courage and the will power to abide by the mini Constitution.

Challenges –

The task was a bit challenging at first, as the peers lacked confidence and were not sure whether they could complete the task. They thought that if the task didn’t go correctly, they would have to face criticism and so somewhere deep below they were afraid.
