About Us: 

MSS is associated with various national and international development organizations. ASHA International-USA, Sir DorabJi Tata Trust, Indo-German social service Society, SATHI-UP, Voluntary Action Network of India, Dignity International-Malaysia, FVTRS-Banglore, CREA, AALI, CRY, CSIR, NABARD etc. beside these MSS also represent in various government and non-government committees at district to national level.

We represented in various national and international seminars and workshops on different issues and collaborated with several movements and demonstrations denouncing people’s rights, women and dalit protests. We also have advocated for displaced communities, victims of the rape and violence and emerged as a forceful critic of casts and un-touchability.

Secretary-MSS Ms Rekha Chauhan has honoured with many Awards and recognitions she grave for her work and achievements. She bagged HT Women Award 2013 for her role in educating dalit women in Varanasi. Also honoured and recognized by the various agencies.

Currently we have the direct intervention in 76 Gram Panchayats of block Rajatalab, Varanasi. About 14000 women in 40 GP; from dalit and muslim communities has been organized under Panchayat level CBO Called Nari Sangh. We have reached to 12000 Families (in 10 GP) under the community health program and 20000 adolescent girls have been intervened through Kishori Munch under Adolescent empowerment program. 6730 Women Has been organized under the SHG program for their social and economic development.  Till date; our outreach through various CBOs in Varanasi, Sonbhadra, Singrauli, Sitapur, Chandauli has reached 50000+ Families in last 18 Years of MSS workings.

As a grass-root organization, MSS has a huge social capital in the form of Community Based organizations-CBOs. Primarily we form two type of CBOs in our intervention area i.e.-

Formal institutions like Self Help Groups, Nari Sangh, Kishori Samooh and

Informal groups as per program requirements like Kishori manch, youth leaders, Swasthya Sakhi, Damini didi, Bal samooh etc.
