Ahimsa welfare society

About Us:

It is truly said that, ''social service is the rent we pay for the place we occupy on earth, which is creation of almighty god.'' Ahimsa is the very sole of humanity, and for humanity Ahimsa welfare society came into existence. Ahimsa welfare society is a group of young committed volunteers, working for significant contribution in overall community development. After getting formally registered with 'Registrar of firms and society Madhya Pradesh' in 2005-06, it is progressing towards its aim of peaceful life for all. Ahimsa is continuously engaged in doing, learning, achieving, expanding and innovating for social development.

Our inspiration for social development comes from Gandhian teachings & principles. Mahatma Gandhi said that, "The development to be sought is human happiness combined with full mental and moral growth."

We believe that the development should not only reach to the grassroots but it has to be demand driven and community owned initiative. This development can be achieved under decentralization, ownership of people on resources and community participation in local governance. In this entire process youth has powerful role.

We are working on extensive awareness generation, education and youth mobilization activities to create demand from community for development. As community-demand results in development that is community owned, sustainable and replicable.

Our Vision: At Ahimsa our vision is the state of swaraj where everyone lives in peace, happiness, best health, dignity and prosperity.

Our Mission: Our mission is to ensure having tools for accomplishing our visionary ends. We do this work by convening, engaging, mobilizing and supporting the sector, to ensure we all have the means to make our world an amazing place to live-in.
