“We the Changemakers”: A Facilitator’s Guide to Empowering Changemakers: Agroecology Modules for Adolescents and Youth.

We are pleased to share the  “We the Changemakers”: A Facilitator’s Guide to Empowering Changemakers: Agroecology Modules for Adolescents and Youth. The 2024 Edition is the result of a collaborative effort between ComMutiny – The Youth
Collective and the RAISE Consortium partners - Social Work Institute Nepal, International Movement of Catholic Agricultural and Rural Youth (MIJARC) Asia, Youth For Action, Farm 2 Food Foundation and DKA Austria. This collaboration is supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

The guidebook is our effort to shed light on the often-overlooked importance of children and youth as essential stakeholders in transformative change processes. It emphasizes active citizenship, youth empowerment and importance of creating 5th Spaces and engages adolescents and youth for agroecology based on various modules. The guidebook is intended for facilitators in rural areas and includes a collection of methods anchored in the 13 Principles of Agroecology, a food systems perspective and Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA). It has been co-developed with the participation of local youth and facilitators.
