People for Change, is a youth led and run non-profit organization that works with children and young people in the Eastern part of the Indian subcontinent. It is a registered Non Profit trust that was founded by Bhaskar Chaudhary and Souvik Saha in 2010, in Jamshedpur (Jharkhand).

We feel that sustainable social change emanates from individuals. Change them or their orientation and the system will change. Long term changes will therefore be brought about by developing in young people the relevant values, attitudes and skills. The organization was born with a desire to engage with adolescents and young adults in schools and colleges of Jamshedpur to take them build in them values, attitudes and skills to help them begin to own common spaces by being in those spaces. People for Change works towards enriching children and youth for personal and social development through creating self to society journeys and citizenship action projects

We work with underprivileged children on their right to education. Under this project, we support non formal education centers for first generation school goers. We also undertake projects to identify school drop outs and help them resolve issues that prevent them from going to schools. We work with adolescents in more than 30 schools of Jharkhand. We run several ongoing programs with children of all economic sections of the society on overall development issues.The programs encourage participants to inhibited voice and tackle their concerns by helping them to conceptualize and implement self reflective and social action projects. The programs provide a safe and non judgmental platform to young people to freely express their ideas & concerns. Our work reaches the community through performing and visual arts, peer education, advocacy, awareness and skill building initiatives.
