( Eastern Action Socio-Economic Development Trust)
The EAST, which stands for eastern action socio-economic development Trust, a voluntary organization formed by young dedicated women and men with the support and guidance from experienced and learned well wisher from different background. The EAST was conceptualized in the year 2004 and formally came into existence in 2005. The EAST based on non profit, non political, and secular organization striving towards ensuring social and gender justice. It aims to reach the unreached people with especial focus on women, children, youths and less privileged by utilizing all available resources. It strongly believes in working together with the local people and particularly with the weaker section of the small and sub-urban communities including inaccessible areas with no preference to any particular caste, creed and religion. Its roots are deeply rooted in its secular character with composite heritage. The EAST identifies completely and directs its efforts in collaboration with the local people to enable them to design their development initiatives support them in their struggle for survival socially, economically and environmentally so that the deprived class of the community also enjoys the fruits of human dignity resulting in transformation of their life and environment in which they live.

VISION: A JUST AND PEACEFUL SOCIETY WITHOUT DISCRIMINATION BETWEEN CASTE AND CREED, WHERE WOMEN AND CHILDREN HAVE EQUAL RIGHTS, YOUTHS ARE RESPONSIBLE HAVING POSITIVE VALUE FOR SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION TOWARDS PROMOTION OF PEACEFUL CO - EXISTANCE THROUGH SOCIAL AND  GENDER JUSTICE WITH PROMOTION OF HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT TO ATTAIN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT.

MISSION: To empower the Women, Children, adolescence, youths and the less privileged through  Promotion of peoples’ organization, build their capacity for advocacy on rights to ensure social and Gender Justice with promotion of healthy Environment to attain sustainable development and Rights for all.
