Deep Jyoti Sonu Brahma emerges as a seasoned professional dedicated to reshaping youth attitudes toward agriculture by integrating hands-on farming experiences into the education system. With over two decades of experience in education and youth development, Deep has played instrumental roles in envisioning, designing, and implementing various educational initiatives. His expertise spans school development, community capacity building, and youth interventions, garnered through leadership positions at organisations like Pravah and The American India Foundation.
Jenpu Rongmei could complete only matriculation and could not continue higher education. He grew up helplessly seeing his mother being tortured by his alcoholic father. During his teenage years, he lost his brother to drugs. The pain of losing his brother to a sickness which could be cured landed him in despair. The trauma coupled with financial constraints was more than what he could bear. He had to stop going to school to help the family.
In 1985, Vijay initiated the Young Experimenters Group (YEG) in Ahmedabad, marking the beginning of his journey in youth empowerment. With a career spanning over three decades, he currently serves as the Director of the South Asia Peace Alliance (SAPA) since 2008 and has played a pivotal role in promoting initiatives like the Navyug Youth Centre and serving as a member of Jai Jagat International. Since retiring as the head of sustainability of the Tata group in 2017, he has been involved in several activities in the larger development and business space. He is a part of the founding team of ECube Climate Finance which is setting up a lending platform to address adverse climate change impacts.

In his current role as Associate Director at ComMutiny, Akshit is co-anchoring the Climate Action vertical where he is building the ‘Nourishing Now’ approach to make climate action a priority for youth engagers and young people.
